Boltmasters UNF Conelok nuts have a deformation on the top threads which achieve the locking action for these nuts.  As the deformation comes in contact with the thread of the fastener a clamping force is applied.  This type of force is not affected by temperature or chemicals.  They are a one piece nut and all of the Conelok nuts supplied by Boltmasters are GRADE "C".
